Dona Faye Kennedy

Dona Faye Kennedy, 64, of Kingsport, was called home to be with her husband, Friday morning unexpectedly. Dona was born in Kingsport and attended Sullivan High School. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mom to many others. She was a faithful member of F.O.E., where she was active.

Dona was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Kennedy; husband, Glen Fritz; sister-in-law, Brenda Fritz; and uncle, Carl Light.

Survivors include her children, Daniel Leroy, Garrett Leroy and wife, Katrina, Carla Kennedy, Tyler Kennedy and wife, Hilary; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother, Betty Jo (Kennedy) Melear; brother, Scott Kennedy; and her beloved pet, Beemer.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport or anytime at her mother’s home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
