Donald "Don" Bowman

Donald "Don" Bowman, 76, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born in Washington County, TN and was a lifelong area resident. Don was an Air Force Veteran and loved animals and children. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Bowman and sister, Shirley Neeley.

Don is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Bowman of the home; mother, Rutha Bowman; brother, David Bowman & wife, Nora; three sisters, Betty Necessary & husband, Ralph, Peggy Bishop and Carolyn Bledsoe, all of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 pm.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 pm at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
