Donald Fields

Donald Fields, 65, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning due to an apparent heart attack. Don was born in Kingsport and had lived in Kingsport for most of his life.

He was an employee of AFG, Greenland Plant and then was an employee at East Lawn Memorial Park working in cemetery maintenance.

Don enjoyed playing guitar and singing with friends and going to yard sales and flea markets, where he made many friends. He was an inspiration to his children and others and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Fields, and mother, Rosa Fields, and one infant brother.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rebecca Ketron Fields; two daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Randy Lowe of Kingsport, Donna and Joey Crawford, U.S. Army Wiesbaden, Germany; three grandchildren, Hope, Abigail, and Josephine Crawford; one sister, Betty Fields of Kingsport; special sister-in-law, Rachel Bond of Kingsport; special brother-in-law, Jacob Ketron of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Hermon United Methodist Church with Rev. Ray Amos, Sr. officiating.
