Donald K. Jones, 75, Fall Branch died late Friday evening, November 11, 2011 at his home.
A lifelong resident of the Kingsport area, Don was retired from Grief Bros. after 42 years of service. He was a cattleman, farmer and co-owner of Betty's Stockyard Café in Kingsport.
Don was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roby and Grace Jones; and two brothers, Albert and Ed Jones.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Betty Jones of Fall Branch; three step-daughters, Jo Bauer and husband John of Kingsport, Sheila Nix and husband David of Knoxville, and Pam Nix and husband Darell of Knoxville; three grandsons, Michael Bauer and wife Valerie, Kyle Hicks, and Kevin Nix; three granddaughters, Kennedy and Bailey Agett, and Kaylee Nix; two great-granddaughters, Kamryn and Aubrey Bauer; two nephews, Rickey and Eddie Jones; one niece, Ann Flock; special friend, John Cole; and many other close friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Services will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Rick Kelly officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Roy Ferguson, Kyle Hicks, Dana Kyte, David Nix, Darell Nix, Carl Shepherd, and Nick Shepherd.
