Donald Wayne Nelms

Donald Wayne "Don" Nelms, age 67, passed from this life into his eternal resting place on May 6, 2010, at 12:45 a.m.

Donald was the previous owner of Kingsport Plumbing, Heating and Cooling until his retirement in 2008. His love for nature was fishing and hunting. He was an avid fan of the Lady Vols.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Hazel McGhee Nelms; his grandparents, Walter Trigg and Minnie Presley Nelms, William McGhee and Nancy Arnold McGhee.

Surviving Donald is his daughter, Victoria Jane Nelms, his brothers, Clarence Nelms and wife, Joan, Gary Nelms, Chuck Nelms and wife Joan; sister, Sandra Dishner and husband, Larry; four nephews, two nieces, three great-nephews and four great-nieces.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be conducted on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park, with Elijah Woods officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be cousins, Ronald McGhee and Rodney McGhee, and nephews, Steve Nelms, Michael Nelms, Scott Dishner, and Brandon Dishner.
