Donna Pierce

Donna Pierce, 63, Chuckey, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 23, 2007, at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was a lifelong resident of Chuckey and retired from Greene Valley Developmental Center following 33 years of service. Donna was a member of Baileyton Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and was past worthy matron of Washington Chapter #57 of the Order of Eastern Star and past advisory board member of Washington Assembly #110 of the Order of Rainbow for Girls. She was a member of Oak Glen Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Mavis Pierce; a sister-in-law, Vicki Pierce; and special niece, Victoria Rose Cutshaw.

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Davis, Chuckey, TN; one grandson, Nathan Davis, Chuckey, TN; several honorary grandchildren; one sister, Joan Tullock and husband, Cletus, Chuckey, TN; two brothers, Gary Pierce, Chuckey, TN, Freddie Pierce and wife, Susan, Chuckey; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will begin at 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Baileyton Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. Rev. Gaither Townsend and Rev. Richard Bowers will officiate.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Durham, Phil Durham, Roger, Jackson, David Whitson, Eric Cutshaw, Brad Pierce, Wes Pierce, and Eric Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be the honorary grandchildren.
