Doris Baumgardner

Doris Baumgardner, 55, of Surgoinsville, passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Doyle Folsom Baumgardner.

Doris is survived by her husband of 15 years, Mickey Shanks; daughter, Sheena Shanks-Absher; mother, Ruby Sams; brother; Roy Baumgardner and wife Connie; step-brother, Kirk Sams and wife Pam; step-sisters, Brenda Rogers and husband Bart, Angeline Delp and husband Tony; special niece, Misty Baumgardner; three aunts; one uncle; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Gale Christian, The Kern, Lynn Thomas, Holly Hickman, Jeff Cox, Wayne Cradic, Sam & JW Davis, Helen Shanks and a host of other friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the residence on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 12:00 pm with Minister Kirk Sams officiating.
