Rosamond Farrar, 80, of Kingsport, died Thursday evening, April 10, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Birmingham, AL, she had resided in Kingsport since 1955. Mrs. Farrar was a homemaker and active member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church for 53 years where she was a member of the choir, Greer Memorial Sunday School Class, and United Methodist Women Circle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Comer and Jessie Deese; and brother, Gene Deese.
Surviving are her husband, G. Earl Farrar of the home; daughter, Donna Grizzle and husband David of Jonesborough; one son, David Farrar and wife Brenda of Torrance, CA; and two nieces.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at First Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Rae Mullins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
A family graveside services will be conducted Monday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
