Doris Lee Ferguson Jones

Doris "Tarp" Jones, 64, of Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Opal Ferguson, sister, Judy Tucker and niece, Mary Sue Tucker Lambert.

Doris is survived by her husband, Frank Jones of Kingsport; sons, Tim Jones and wife, Jacquelin of Kingsport, Kenny Jones and wife, Jennifer of Blountville, and Franklin Ferguson of Missouri; daughter, Mary Ferguson and husband, Anthony of Kingsport; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alen Ferguson & wife, Shelby of Greeneville, Shirley Ferguson, of Greeneville, Tim Ferguson of Missouri, and Louis Ferguson-Wright of Greeneville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch with Rev. Fred Greer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Fall Branch. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
