Doris Jean Kelley McCamy, 74, of Green Shed Community, Fall Branch passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010 after a lengthy illness.
She was a homemaker, a wonderful mother and grandmother. Doris was a 1954 graduate of Fall Branch High School and worked briefly for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jimmy, her parents, Sam and Maude Kelley, her twin brother Don and Jeff Kelley.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindy and her husband Wesley Light of the Green Shed Community; two sons: Ricky and wife Sandra McCamy of Kingsport and Billy Joe McCamy of the Green Shed Community; grandchildren: Heather and Joey Walker, Kathy and Randy Barrett, Danette Kesler, Jason and Tiffany McCamy, Matt and Angela McCamy and Sarah and Matt Chappell; great grandchildren: Courtney Barrett, CalebWalker, Trevor Barrett, Macy Walker, Allie McCamy, Hannah McCamy, Gauge Walker, Jake McCamy and Bryson McCamy; two sisters: Betty Mullins and Tisha Blankenship; two brothers: Sam Kelley and Jim Kelley; several nieces and nephews and special cousin Mildred "Bubba" Ford.
Visitation will be Friday, October 22, 2010 from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes. Funeral Service will follow visitation at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Barry Reed officiating. Music will be provided by Roy Dolen and Traci Taylor.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. for the graveside service.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the hospice floor at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center and also the staff of Brookhaven Manor.
