Dorothy "Dot" Price Acrin

Dorothy "Dot" Price Acrin, 81, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Indian Path Medical Center. Dot retired from The Tennessee Eastman Corporation in 1986 after 38 years, seven months of service. She was a wonderful, kind and loving mother and friend to all who knew her.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Iva Cox; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

She is survived by a son, Greg Price of Fall Branch; aunt, Mae Cox of Boones Creek; special cousin, Ann McClure of Knoxville; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m.

Burial will be on Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends attending are asked to meet at the cemetery on Monday at 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105.
