Dorothy Alice Blevins

Dorothy Alice Blevins, 89 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, Monday evening, August 28, 2023. Dorothy was born in Smyth County, VA and had resided in Kingsport for most of her adult life. She was of the Baptist faith.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Blevins; daughter, Joyce Blevins; and sons, Roger and David Blevins.

Survivors include her daughters, Gloria and Brad Hammond and Angela Blevins; her sons, Mark and Donna Blevins, Steve and Sherry Blevins; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine Mash and Naomia Hutton; brother, Benjamin (Ted) and Jeanie Buchanan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Price officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
