Dorothy Jane Boyd

Dorothy Jane "Dottie" Boyd, 85, Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2013 with family and close friends by her side.
Dottie will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit and her sharp mind and quick wit. She was most known for her deep love of friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Boyd; son, George "Rocky" Hammond mother, Ethel Banner; and father, M.D. Banner.
Dottie is survived by her daughter, Donna Stone and husband, Bill Stone; grandchildren, Steve Hammond and wife, Kay, and Brandon Carroll and wife, Rachael; six great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Banner, Johnson City; brother, Richard Banner and wife, Patricia, Winter Haven, FL; sister, Judi Greene and husband, Shelby, Johnson City; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Emeritus at Remington House and Smokey Mountain Home Health Hospice .
In keeping with Dottie's request, there will not be any services.
