Dorothy's life in this world began in Fairmont, WV, on November 10, 1924 and ended in Kingsport, TN on April 20, 2018. She was the daughter of Albert W. and Floda G. Curtis; sister of Betty Curtis; and spouse of Rev. W. F. Wadsworth DD, who all pre-deceased her.
Dorothy's immediate surviving family includes one son, Rev. Dr. P. David and Connie Wadsworth; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Jessi Tipton and husband Philip, and great-grandchildren, Blake, Jessip and Teagan of Kingsport, TN, Zac Wadsworth and wife Chanda, and great-grandchildren, Annalee and Henry of Hayesville, NC, and Lee Wadsworth and wife Kendra, and great-grandchild, Ella Grace of Versailles, KY.
Dorothy was a life-long Presbyterian who served Christ, the church and community faithfully and well. Her career included work in retail, teaching, and clerical work as a legal secretary and as Administrative Assistant for the Presbytery of East Tennessee.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Fountain City Presbyterian Church, 500 Hotel Rd, Knoxville, TN 37928. The Rev. Gradye Parsons will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
