Dorothy Milhorn Gregory, 84, Kingsport, has gone home to be with her family and her dogs on Thursday, July 12, 2012 following a courageous battle with several illnesses.
She was born in Kingsport, where she returned to reside in 1976. Dorothy was an avid dog lover.
Her parents, G. W. and Vertie Milhorn and a brother, James E. Milhorn preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Trev Thompson and husband David of Weyers Cave, VA and Neysa Etrora Gregory of Jonesborough; three grandchildren, Shannon Beaver, Karie Weiss and Ryan Weiss; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Wiles of Kingsport and Mary Frances Arms of Blountville; six nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 8 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Larry Allen, Mickey Smith, David Malone, Mike Arms, Brandon Christian, Buddy Runyon, Dwayne Shepherd, Jon Bass, and David Thompson.
