Dorothy Faye Morris, 72, of Kingsport, died Sunday, February 18, 2007, at her home.
She was born in Wise County, Virginia, but had resided in Kingsport most of her life. Mrs. Morris served in the U. S. Air Force and retired from Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in 1988 after 33 years of service as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Mount Carmel.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Carl E. Morris; parents, Talmadge and Laura Wilson; daughter, Angela Parker; and a brother, Talmadge Wilson Jr.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Tom Fritz, Abingdon, Virginia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Ramona Morris, Norton, Virginia and Tim and Angela Morris, Mt. Carmel; twelve grandchildren, Victoria Segraves, Rebecca Carly, Jessi Fritz, Rilee Morris, Tanner Morris, Rachel Sexton, T. C. Morris, Shauna Morris, Chuck Morris, Leslie Cunningham, and Brandon Cunningham; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Dale Morelock officiating. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post No. 3/265.
Those desiring to go in procession to the cemetery should meet at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport by 1:15 p.m.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
