Dorothy Quillen Nunley

Dorothy Quillen Nunley, 82, of Kingsport, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, January 27, 2016. She was a faithful member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church. Dorothy worked at the Desta Kup for 35 years.

Dorothy was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ruby Quillen; husband, Floyd Nunley, Jr.; son, David "Blunder" Nunley; sisters, Anna Lee, Edna and Jean; and brother, Donald.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Debbie Qualls and husband, Ron of Duffield, VA, and Donna Stroud and husband, George of Douglasville, GA; sons, Darrell Nunley and wife, Frankie of Kingsport, Dennis Nunley and wife, Donna of Kingsport, and Danny Nunley and wife, Penny of Mount Carmel; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Sam Quillen and wife, Debbie of Kingsport; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-7:00 pm at Bloomingdale Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Phil Whittemore officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Nunley, Danielle Nunley, Justin Nunley, Steve Nunley, George Stroud, Ron Qualls and Nick Nunley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bloomingdale Baptist Church, 3220 Bloomingdale Pike, Kingsport, TN 37660.
