Dorthiea Charlton Crabtree Williams

Dorthiea Charlton Crabtree Williams, 70, of Kingsport, passed away on March 28, 2009. Dorthiea was a long-time member of Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church. She retired from the Sullivan County School System where she worked in the food service department.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a husband, John D. Crabtree; parents, Arnie and Nellie Myers Charlton; and brother, William H. Bill Charlton.

She is survived by her husband, Powell Williams of the home; daughter Annette Crabtree Hunt and son-in-law Darrel Hunt of Kingsport; a very special grandson, Benjamin A. Hunt of Kingsport; two step-sons, Greg Williams and wife Tammy of Chuckey, Gary Williams and wife Christy of Mohawk; one step-daughter, Gail Hutson and husband Terry of Kingsport; sister, Margaret Charlton Osborn and husband John of Okeechobee, FL; uncle, John Myers of Fall Branch; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 3, 2009, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the home of Annette and Darrel Hunt, 736 Harbor Springs Road in Kingsport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church, 2049 Greenway Street, Kingsport, TN 37660.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Chuckey, TN with Pastor David Sims officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Myers Jr., Gary Williams, Greg Williams, John Osborn, Tony Rutledge, and Brett Charlton.
