Doug Lee

Thomas Douglass Lee Jr., 51, of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Kingsport and was raised in the Ross Campground community. Doug loved to sing, watch movies, karate, and football. He played on the practice squad for the Dallas Cowboys for a short time.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Lee Sr.; his grandparents; sister, Cindy Cosby; and uncle, Buddy Moffitt.

Doug is survived by his wife, Donna Lee; son, Andrew Lee; mother, Judy Moffitt; sister, Michelle Godsey; brother, Michael Lee; uncle, James Moffitt; aunt, Jeanie Cash and husband, Ralph; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Freddy Freeman and John Gardner officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Ross Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.
