Drucella Ann Head of Stratford Road went to be with the Lord at the age of 77 early Wednesday morning, November 26, 2008, at Brookhaven Manor.
She lived her entire life in Kingsport and graduated from Sullivan High School. Drucella enjoyed later years working with her mother at the Flea Market.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Claude Head and Monie Lou Ramey Head; sisters, Lakie C. Head and Vivian H. Williamson, a nephew, Scottie G. Hensley; and brothers-in-law, Arnold B. Hensley and Tim Cruz.
Surviving are two sisters, Frances H. Hensley of Kingsport, Elva V. Cruz of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Drucella's request was no visitation or funeral. A short graveside service will be held by her nephew, Jerry Lynn Hensley, at Oak Hill Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. Friday.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Brookhaven Manor's special caregivers, Macedonia Church for their prayers and visits, and her friends. Also a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice of Kingsport. They have taken good care of her.
