Dutt Wagers, Jr., 58, a lifelong resident of Kingsport, passed away Saturday August 25, 2007 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after an extended illness.

A faithful member of Gravely Baptist Church, he loved his Lord and lived what he believed, truly becoming a ?living epistle.?

He worked hard all his life; enjoying his work as project manager and changing careers in midlife. He built a successful masonry with his son. He loved his wife, his children, and his Savior.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dutt and Dora Wagers; one brother, Elmer Wagers; and one sister, Georgia Ramey.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Patricia Faye Wagers; one daughter, Patricia Jasper and husband, Tim, of Kingsport; one son, Dutt Wagers, III and wife, Rebecca, of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Kasa and Jacob Jasper and Dora, Katherine and Hannah Wagers; one great-grandchild, Isabella ?Izzy? Grace, all of Kingsport; three brothers, Roy Wagers and wife, Martha, of Oklahoma, James Wagers and wife, Marilyn, and Otis Wagers and wife, Patricia, all of Church Hill; four sisters, Ollie Bledsoe of Kingsport, Nettie Foster of Greenville, TN, Betty Agee and husband, Jim, of Kingsport, and Lona Fields and husband, Wayne, also of Kingsport. In addition to this great treasure are added numerous, well-loved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Gravely Baptist Church. Services will be at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor David Salley and Jim Cassell officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Logan?s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:15.

Pallbearers will be Dutt Wagers, III, Steve Tipton, Scott Tipton, Tim Jasper, Otis Wagers, Jr., and Denny Wagers.

Memorials may be given to Gravely Baptist Church, c/o Building Fund, 500 Gravely Road, Kingsport, TN 37660.
