Dwayne Travis Lockhart

Dwayne Travis Lockhart, 61, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. A native of Hunington, TN, he was the son of the late Dewey and Lida Boyd Lockhart and retired from the City of Kingsport in Public Works. His favorite hobbies included fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and scratching lottery tickets.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dewey Paul Lockhart, Jr., sister, Ella Jane Lockhart and nephew, Ernest Josh Lockhart.

Dwayne is survived by his wife, Betty Lockhart of the home; daughters, Sheila Crawford and husband, Jamie of Rogersville, and Rebecca Collins and husband, Larry of Kingsport; son, Randall Smith and wife Tonya of Kingsport; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernest Lockhart and wife, Tammy of Kingsport, and David Lockhart and wife, Diane of Kingsport; sisters, Faye Rupe and husband, George of Bristol, Nola Hall and husband, Tony of Kingsport, and Rose Jarrett and husband, James of Kingsport; everyone at Public Works, especially two special co-workers and friends, PeeWee Ford and Bobby Winager; and special friend Letakay Vargeson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-6:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ernest Lockhart, David Lockhart, JB Hall, Aaron Smith, Curtis Collins, Jamie Crawford, Randall Smith, Cory Crawford and PeeWee Ford.
