E. Ruth Chase, 83, Kingsport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born in Kingsport on September 26, 1930, a daughter of the late Claude T. and Kate Hite Chase, she had resided in this area her entire life.
Ruth is survived by her children, Nancy Parrish, Gautier, Mississippi, Michael Chase and wife Belenda, Terrell, Texas, and Julie Conner and husband Edward, Kingsport; nine grandchildren, Misty White McKeel, Anne White Ladnier, Joe White, Brock Chase, Katie Morris Christian, Duane Steven Morris, Nicole A. Conner, Lisa Parrish White, and Angela Parrish, and ten great-grandchildren, Cory McKeel, Emily McKeel, Amber Hanie, Austin Ladnier, Garrett Ladnier, Hayley Chase, Hannon Chase, Tyler Gardiner, Ethan Garrett, and Rosalie McNew.
The family will hold private committal services with Rev. Caleb Frazier.
