Earnest B. "Ozzie" Malone, 88, Fall Branch, died Sunday morning, January 29, 2012, at Greystone Health Care after an extended illness. He was a lifelong farmer in Washington and Greene Counties and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Penley Malone, his parents and five brothers.
Earnest is survived by his sons, Joe Malone and wife, Kathy of Kingsport, and Earl Malone and wife, Sara of Fall Branch; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane McAmis and husband, Billy, and Betty Britton, all of Baileyton; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 with Rev. Edd Davis officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 11:00 am at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and family.
