Edd Yakley
Edd Yakley, 66, of Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Yakley operated Yakley's Wood Yard for the past 20 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Oda Yakley; three brothers, J.W., Lynn, and Larry Yakley; and one sister, Glenda Yakley.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Yakley of Kingsport; sisters Bolena Mullendore and husband Dusty of Morristown, Patty Yakley of Kingsport, and Robin Boggs and husband Gary, also of Kingsport; brother, Jerry Yakley and wife Kathy of Rogersville; special cousin, Roy Murray of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Walker s Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Evangelist Larry McAmis officiating. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Mr. Yakley s sister, Patty Yakley.
