Eddie D. "Ed" Robinson

Eddie D. "Ed" Robinson, 45, Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at his residence, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kingsport on July 27, 1971, a son of the late Eddie Earl Price Jr. and Ernestine Robinson, he had resided in this area his entire life. Ed graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and was of the Christian faith. He had been employed at Boehn Landscaping. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, dad, grandfather, brother and friend who loved to play guitar, being outside and working and was an avid race fan.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and to Kingsport Oncology & Hematology, and the radiology staff at Holston Valley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Earl Price, Jr.; grandmother, Louise Ford Price; and grandmother, Mary Robinson.

Survivors include his wife, Trish Robinson; daughter, Alisha Robinson; one very special granddaughter, Zoey Nicole Arnold; dear mother-in-law, Vonda Kay Penley with thanks for all her love, care and support; mother and stepfather, Ernestine and Dale Mathis; brothers, Anthony Dale Robinson, Eric Eugene Robinson, and Terry Lynn Robinson; sister, Rachel Devella Price; special aunt, Elizabeth Maxwell; and a host of friends and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12-2:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport and at other hours at the residence. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow in New Canton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Dotson, Joey Doston, T.J. Crawford, Jamie East, Chris Boehn and Scotty Jeffers.
