EDDY Lee "Ed" Hamilton, 63, Kingsport, left this earthly life Friday evening, June 10, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Ed was retired after having been involved in several area businesses through the years, mainly in water treatment. He was a graduate of J. I. Burton High School, Norton, VA, and received an associate degree from Knoxville Business College, Knoxville, TN. Ed was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edd Hamilton, Jr. and Mary Helen Clark Hamilton; and his second mother, Lola Ann Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hill Hamilton, Kingsport; one son, Ryan Hamilton, Nashville, TN; one stepbrother, Danny Stallard and his wife, Wilma, Wise, VA; two half-brothers, Mark Hamilton and Joey Hamilton, both of Wise, VA; his extended family; and a host of friends.
Visitation with the family will be held Sunday evening, June 12, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a celebration of life at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport with Jim Wells officiating. Interment of the cremains will be held at the convenience of the family.
At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
