Edgar P. Watson, III, 72, of Johnson City died at Johnson City Medical Center, Tuesday, November 9, 2010.
Born in Sullivan County, he was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School, class of 1956. He was an avid reader and volunteered his time at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Edgar Pierce Watson, Jr. and Mona Weatherly Watson.
Survivors include: two brothers: Joe Watson and wife Elaine of Kingsport, Tom P. Watson and wife Debbie of Piedmont, South Carolina; three nieces and two nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:45 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284.
