Edgar Steven Steve Morris, 50, born March 18, 1959, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 10, 2009, after battling a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, the late Edgar Ed and Linda Morris.
Steve leaves behind his wife of 24 years, Dinah Morris; four children, Katie Jones, Duane Morris and wife Mary Beth, Jeffery Everly Morris, and Zachery Morris; four grandchildren, Tyler and Ethan Gardiner and Logan and Austin Dalton; his beloved aunt and second mother, Helen Christian; mother-in-law, Mildred Bruner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rodney Bruner and Wendy Stanley; nephew, Tyler Stanley; and a dearly-loved aunt, Helen Hammonds.
Steve worked for APAC Paving Company for ten years. Afterwards he worked for the City of Kingsport Public Works Department before becoming ill. Steve was also a proud and longtime member of the Peace Makers Motorcycle Club, which he enjoyed very much.
The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Steve's wishes were to be cremated.
