Edith Franklin

Edith Franklin, 70, Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, surrounded by her family at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville due to complications of a brain aneurysm. She was born December 28, 1946. She retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 26 years of service. She attended New Life Freewill Baptist Church.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Franklin; son, John Morelock; mother, Margaret Hall; sisters, Beaulah French, Eula Locklear, Frances Marie Wyatt; and her brother, Harold Adams.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Parker and husband, Anthony; Veronica Morelock and fiance Tyler; Geneva Franklin. Son, Henry Morelock and fiancée Janine. Special daughter-in-law Linda Prater. Sisters, Belvie Hutson, Ilene Brewer and husband Ronald; brothers, Henry Hall and wife Jan, Lonnie Hall; Special sister-in-law Vonda Hager. Grandchildren, Jessica (Wesley), Meredith (Cody), and Scotty (Autumn), Jennifer and Jonathan (Whitney), Dakota, RJ, Veronica, Hannah, John (Jessica), Tiffani (Kasey).
Great-grandchildren, Blakely, Grady, Tyler, Madison, Layton, Payton, Kyndall, Braden, Tanner, Levi, Hayden, Parker. Several nieces and nephews and a dedicated nephew Mark Huston. Best friends, Juanita Wells, Angie Light, Rhonda Underwood.

Special thanks to nurses and doctors at UT Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 7:00 pm on Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Services will follow with Rev. Hal Calhoun officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Sunday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
