Edith Sue Smith Stelling passed away at 5:15 pm Monday afternoon, January 30, 2012. She was born in Appalachia, VA but had lived most of her life in Kingsport and Daytona Beach, Florida and was retired from Dayton Beach Community College. Sue was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Stelling; parents, Christopher C. and Lille Martin Smith ; brother, J.C. Smith; sisters, Mary Glen Taylor, Lydia Snodgrass and Linda Vance; and nephew, Charles Christopher Riddle.
Sue is survived by her nephews, Jock M. Taylor of Kingsport, Tim Vance of Blountville, and Fred Vance of Blountville; niece, Bridget Taylor of Blountville; and several great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 10:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Father Mike Nolan officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
