Edith C. Wilkinson, 87, Kingsport, died Monday June 15th, 2009 following an extended illness.

Born in Russell Co., VA, Edith moved to Kingsport at an early age. She worked at Tennessee Eastman Yarn Plant and then became an avid antique dealer, owning and operating Colonial Antiques on Broad Street.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Doran Wilkinson and all of her brothers and sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Larry Wilkinson and wife, Rebecca, Chad Wilkinson and wife, Tina; five grandchildren, Tonya Jones and husband Mark, Shawn Wilkinson and wife, Amy, Candice Schwartz and husband, Dr. Eric Schwartz, Connor Wilkinson, and Caleb Wilkinson; four great-grandchildren; Amanda, Anna, Sarah, and Bella; her dearest lifelong friend, Juanita Hoskins.

Calling hours are from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at Hamlet-Dobson Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Stanley Sims officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday at Oak Hill Memorial park with Dr. Phil Hoskins and Pastor Stanley Sims officiating.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
