Edlois McCrary

Edlois McCrary, 83, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in North Carolina on February 13, 1930, a daughter of the late Dock and Della Burleson, and had resided in this area since the age of 13. Edlois was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was a very loving mother, wife, and friend who truly loved her children. Edlois will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Janet Katherine McCrary, sister, Nell Carter and brother, Richard Burleson.

She leaves behind her husband, Paul Howrd McCrary; sister, Hilma Daniels; brother, Rodney Burleson; special great-nephew, Clarence McCrary and wife, Krystal; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Mike Stout officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday at 2:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park.
