Edna Marsh Dotson, 91, Kingsport, went to meet her heavenly father and all her dear loved ones Sunday August 10, 2008.

Edna was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to all those that knew her.

Edna was a faithful church member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved to tell of her faith to anyone who was willing to listen.

She was preceded in Heaven's journey by her parents, David and Etta Peltier Churchwell; first husband, William Grandville Marsh of 60 years; second husband, John Calvin Dotson; brother, George Churchwell; and sisters, Loraine Hurd, Mary Barrett, and Oleta Martin.

Surviving are daughter, Shirley Waters, Mt. Carmel; son, Larry Marsh and wife, Connie, Kingsport; step-daughters, Shirley Dotson and Sondra Bridwell, Kingsport, and Diana Fleming and husband, Donnie, Piney Flats; step-son, John Calvin Dotson III and wife, Susan, California; very special sister, Mrs. Lelah Ragle, Mt. Carmel; five grandchildren, David Waters, Jeff Waters, Pam Smith, Doug Marsh, and Paula Marsh; four great-grandchildren, Michael Smith, Aaron Marsh, Josh Marsh, and Candice Marsh; nine step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Services will be at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Harris and Rev. Charlie Fuller officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to thank all the personnel at Wellmont Health Systems and Becky, Robin, Josie, and Ivy at Wellmont Hospice for all the support and love they gave in her final days.
