Edna "Tiny" Hawkins, 62, Kingsport, was called home Thursday (October 23, 2014) following an extended illness.
Edna was born in Hawkins County and had resided in Kingsport for most of her life. She was an employee of Hillside Manor Nursing Home, retiring due to health problems. She attended Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Christian and Claude Christian, Sr. and her sisters, Gladys Wilkerson and Barbara Williams.
Edna is survived by her son, David Sneed and wife, Sherry, Atlanta, GA; grandson, Elijah Sneed; sister, Brenda Stanley, Church Hill; three brothers, Jackie Christian, Kingsport, TN, Tom Christian and James Christian, both of Church Hill, TN.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday at Church Hill Memory Gardens. The graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. with Bob Seymour officiating.
