Edna Haynes, 81, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2009. She was born on June 29, 1927. She lived in Kingsport and retired after 22 years from Ratheon. She was an ordained evangelist minister. She was a very loved mother, grandmother and wife.

Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her parents, Walker and Nancy Wright; husband, Richard "Ray" Haynes, Sr.; son Richard "Ricky" Ray Haynes, Jr.; grandson, Danny Wilson; son-in-law, Bill Wilson; and several brothers and sisters.

She leaves behind three daughters and one son, Tammy Haynes of Kingsport, Sandra Falin and husband Billy Joe of Kingsport, Brenda Wilson of Fall Branch, and Donnie Haynes and wife Pam of Kingsport; grandchildren, Sheena and Jimmy Rogers, Jr., Chasity Wilson, Lisa and Bill Nickols, Tracy and Steven McDavid, and Tabitha Haynes; several great-grandchildren, brother, H.B. Wright and wife Vivian of Kingsport; sister, Margaret Haynes and husband Ed; a special niece, Dorothy Tyndell; and a special loved pet, Angel Haynes.

The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, with Rev. G.W. White officiating. A graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Troy Procter, Darrell Hunley, Dennis Duncan, Donnie Haynes, Steve Henry, Tim Osborne, and Eddie Sexton. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Hunley, Charley Shaffer, James "Red" Henry, Kevin Farell, Paul Mayfield, J.W. Haynes, and Junior Richardson.
