Edward "Christian" Barclay, 71, Weber City, VA, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Natick, MA, Christian started his floral career in New York City and moved to the VA/TN area 27 years ago. He worked at Rainbows End Floral for 17 years as a floral designer. Christian's love of flowers meant that he never wanted to quit learning about new variaties and creative ideas to use them. He was very dedicated to his profession and truly enjoyed being a board member of the Tennessee State Floral Association. He loved competing in local and state wide contests as well as speaking on and training others to work with flowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Edward F. Barclay of Wayland, MA.
Surviving are his brother, Scott A. Barclay, nieces, Rachel, Adrienne and Lisa Barclay, and great-niece and nephew, Emma and Elliot Lutz, all from CT.
A celebration of life service will be Friday, July 29th between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Rainbows End Floral Shop, 214 E. Center St., Kingsport, TN.
