Edward Linden Dougherty

Edward L. "Skeeter" Dougherty, 53, of Weber City, Va. died Wednesday May 28, 2008 at his home.
Born in Kingsport, he graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 1973. He had worked as a pressman in the printing business for many years. Eddie was a methodist. And was an avid Dobyns-Bennett High School football fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl "Bud" and Darlene Dougherty; one brother, Carl Dougherty.
Survived by one daughter, Bonnie Byrd and husband, Brett, Kingsport; two sons, Jason Dougherty and wife, Beth, Kingsport, Matthew Dougherty, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Hannah, Taylor and Lauren; ex wife, LuAnna Dougherty, Kingsport; two brothers, Walter Dougherty and wife, Nancy, Johnson City, Hal Dougherty and wife, Donna, Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport with Minister John Autry officiating.
Family will receive friends immediately after the service at the funeral home.
