Edward Wayne Satterfield

Edward Wayne Satterfield, 76, Kingsport, TN, died on July 4, 2011 joining his wife and three children.

Wayne was a hard worker, having pursued many vocations and dreams across the country. His greatest achievement was raising ten children. In recent years he enjoyed spending time at the flea market selling coins.

His wife, Vivian Satterfield, sons, Jim Frye and Larry Satterfield, daughter, Darlene Satterfield and grandson, Tony Satterfield preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children, Betty Paulson and husband Larry, Troy, MI; Mary Mulari and husband Jim, Duffield, VA; Johnnie Forland and husband Jim, Spokane, WA; Judy Strong and Randy, Kingsport, TN; Alton Satterfield and wife Candice, Kingsport, TN; Eddie Satterfield, Kingsport, TN; and Jenny Satterfield, Kingsport, TN; twenty-three grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia and Carol; brother, Leland; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours are 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport and anytime at the home of his daughter, Judy Strong.

Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday with a eulogy by his daughter, Betty Paulson.

Buria1 will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Satterfield, Nathan Satterfield, Randy Strong, Jimmy Mulari, Jim Forland, and Andy Ward.
