Elizabeth Alwilda "Robinette" Morlock

Elizabeth Alwilda "Robinette" Morlock, 77, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 5, 2016, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Born in Hawkins County, TN, on July 24, 1938, a daughter of the late Jim and Betty Ann Robinette, she had resided in this area her entire life. She attended Ridgeview Baptist Church and retired in 2002 following 61 years of service. Alwilda will be remembered as a loving and devoted momma, mamaw, sister, and friend who loved being with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Morlock; sisters, Verdie Lee Christian, and Ebbie Kersey; brothers, GB Robinette, Clinton Robinette, and Landin Robinette.

Alwilda is survived by her daughter, Dawn Rogers of Church Hill; two grandchildren, Dustin Rogers and wife Kassie of Church Hill, and Devin Rogers and wife Tiffani of Church Hill; one great-grandchild, Landry Diesel Rogers; expecting another great- grandchild, Tinslee Elizabeth Rogers; sister, Wilmoth L. Varney of Glen Burnie, MD; special friend, Fred Churchwell; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Jon Rogers and Rev. Joe Robinette officiating.

The graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those attending committal services are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12 noon on Saturday and then proceed to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Rogers, Devin Rogers, Jimmy Arnold, Ken Varney, Tim Kersey, and Terence Kersey. Fred Churchwell will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
