Elizabeth "Libby" Clevenger-Nimmo, 82, of Kingsport, formerly of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Holston Manor, following a period of declining health. Born in Big Stone Gap, Virginia on December 22, 1932, she has resided in this area since 1988. Elizabeth was a retired seamstress. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mom, "granny", and friend, who loved to camp, travel, work with crafts, and loved her pets.
She is preceded in death by her first husband of 36 years, Buel Buford Clevenger (1989).
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jack Nimmo, Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, Johnny Clevenger and wife, Nancy of Wake Forest N.C., and Jessee Clevenger and wife, Linda of Gate City, Virginia; one daughter, Shelia Smith and her husband, of El Paso, Texas; two step-daughters, Robin Bradley and Michele Altman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport.
There will be a private burial at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
