Elizabeth Harler, 91, Kingsport, died Monday, October 13, 2008, at Brookhaven Manor.
She was born in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, to Rev. D. F. Wyrick and Anna C. Wyrick. Mrs. Harler graduated from Tazewell High School in Tazewell, Virginia and attended Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virginia. She was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Clyde O. Harler Jr.; parents; two brothers, W. W. Wyrick, David F. Wyrick; and four sisters, Anna Kinser, Peggy Banks, Mary Lee Cornett, and Katherine Wassum.
Surviving are one son, Clyde O. Harler III of Danville, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. There will be no formal services.
