Elizabeth Shanks Hayes

She was the wife of the late Pastor Sceville Hayes and was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Thelma Shanks; and sister, Ella Shanks Baines.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hayes Sweet; son, Marion Luther Hayes; grandchildren, Leah Peeks and Candice Sweet (husband, Josh Ball); and great-granddaughter, Hayes Ball.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Crossroads Baptist Church, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Barry Rackley officiating. Music will be provided by The Rogersville Baptist Youth Choir and Debbie Hayes. The graveside service will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ivan Armstrong, David Carroll, Scott Hickman, Ben McKerrocher, Mike McKerrocher, Kyle Rasnake, Devin Robinson, and Aaron Sims. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Fultz, Ben McWilliams, Henry Owens, and Bill Van Buren.
