Elizabeth McConnell

Elizabeth McConnell passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Elizabeth was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, and attended law school at Vanderbilt University. She practiced law briefly in western Tennessee before returning to Kingsport to open her private law practice. She loved her family and was an avid dog lover. She adopted many pets from her local shelter through the years, and in the early years of her law practice, handled many cases involving animal welfare.

She is predeceased by her beloved father, Richard L. McConnell, and is survived by her mother, Carolyn McConnell; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Cindy McConnell; her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Mark Johnson; and two nephews, Robert McConnell and Nina Vujovich and John and Rachael McConnell.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with The Rev. Dr. David A. Cagle officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
