Ella Sue Mann

Ella Sue Mann, 79, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 31, 2024 with her family by her side. She loved her family and friends dearly. Ella worked at Sullivan South High School for 25 years. She was a beloved member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. No matter who she was talking to, she had a way to make you feel like you were her favorite.

Ella was preceded in death by her mother, Maggie Taylor; father, Ray Taylor; first husband, Don Bowman; second husband, James Mann; sisters, Ann Bowman, Faye Anderson; brother, Garland Taylor; brother-in-law, Kenneth Anderson; grandparents, Howard and Iona (Mommie) Justice and Robert and Vena Taylor.

Survivors include her children, Joel Bowman, Steve (Susan) Bowman, Trish (Jeff) Owens; grandchildren, Megan (Stephen) Tarbuk, Tyler Bowman; great-granddaughter, Ellie Grey Stout; siblings, Billy (Vicky) Taylor, Bobby Taylor, Debbie (Fred) Bruner, Barb (Mike) Shahan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Washington County Memory Gardens with Pastor Wayne Baker and Earl Hulse
