Ellen Marie "Doodle" Bernard

Ellen Marie "Doodle" Bernard, 47, of Kingsport died Monday, November 11, 2013, after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born and raised in Kingsport, she was an 1985 graduate of Sullivan South High School. Doodle was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt and loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lanis Bernard; sister, Kathy Light; and brother, Rex Bernard.

Doodle is survived by her mother, Ellen H. Bernard of the home; three sisters, Vickie Krug and husband, David, Kingsport, Tammy Crigger of the home, and Connie Lyons and husband, Ed, Kingsport; one niece, Brittany Bernard; five nephews, Travis Bernard, Justin Bernard, Timmy Crigger, Jonathan Lyons, Chris Light; one great-niece, Haley Light; and one great-great niece, Bentley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Hamlett-Dobson Chapel, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Gaither Townsend officiating.

The graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Morrison Family Cemetery in Rogersville.

Pallbearers will be Chris Light, Timmy Crigger, Justin Bernard, Travis Bernard, Nicholas Sproles, and Preston Acito.
