Ellen Carl, 84, of Kingsport, passed away December 8, 2010, at Indian Path Medical Center.
Ellen was born in Arkansas and raised in Marion, Indiana. She moved to Tennessee in 1997. She attended Sunnyside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carl; a son, Tommy Carl; a brother, Vernon Reed; and two sisters, Oma Hutchinson and Sarah Courtney.
Ellen is survived by a daughter, Lisia Perry, of Kingsport; two grandchildren, Chelsea Perry and Dylan Perry; special niece, Martha Maggard, Fairmount, Indiana; special cousin, Marguerite Miller, Marion, Indiana; son-in-law, Donnie Perry, Kingsport; step-grandson, Allen Perry, Gas City, Indiana; special friend, Jill Relfe, Mansfield, OH; and several sisters-in-law, extended family, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 2:30, with Pastor Roy Graves officiating.
