Ellen Carol Dean
Ellen Carol Dean, 70, of Church Hill, passed away August 1, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her mother and dad, Myrtle and Noah Larkins; three brothers, David, Robert, and Scott Larkins.
Ellen is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dennis Dean; two sons, James Dean and wife Diana of Church Hill, TN and Daniel Dean and wife Donna of Richmond, VA; one brother, Bert Larkins; two grandchildren, Chris Dean and Selena Dean; three nieces, Barbara Jones, Rebecca Sharete, and Donna Carter.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 3, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home - Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh, Evangelist Tommy Holder and Pastor Arvil Dean officiating.
Burial services will be held Tuesday, August 4th, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris B. Dean, R. D. Dean, Farley Meade, Jamie Meade, Harvey Bland and Charles Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris A. Dean and Johnny Fields.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bristol Hospice for their care and a special thanks to neighbor and friends, Christine and Farley Meade.
