Ellis ?Eli? Dykes, Jr., 46, Kingsport, passed away Saturday February 17, 2007.
Mr. Dykes had a song published on an award-winning album by Blue Highway.
He worked as a CNA for several years at various Kingsport locations.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis ?Pete? Dykes, Sr.; sons, Samuel Peter Dykes and James Montgomery Dykes; and special friend, Ora Harrison.
Surviving are his fiancé, Pam McCoy; daughter, Sarah Dykes Bellamy; son, Andrew Elijah Dykes; grandchildren, Tristian and Jonna Bellamy; mother, Eula Dykes Massey and husband, George; sisters, Sandra Dykes Price and Patty Dykes Bragg and husband, Rick; niece, Kelli Price; nephews, Nathaniel and Deacon Bragg; and special friends, Brian and Savannah Roberson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, or anytime at the home of his mother, 405 Amber Street, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Elmo Owens and Rev. Lee Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
