Elmer Ray Crawford, 76, Fall Branch, went to his heavenly home Dec. 25, 2011 at the Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol.
Because of illness, Ray has not been attending church but he was a Christian. Ray retired from the Johnson City Power Board and he will be missed on the golf course. He was a loving husband, father, brother and Papaw.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Crawford, his parents Carl and Bertha Crawford, several brothers, Joe Crawford, Verlin Crawford, Kenny Crawford, Cleo Crawford, Jackie Crawford, his twin brother Delmer Crawford, and his only sister, Mae Crawford.
He is survived by his daughter, Tricia Crawford, Kingsport, TN; sons Glenn Linda Crawford, North Pole, Alaska, and Tony Carolyn Rutledge, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Samantha and Shelby Clark, Kingsport, TN, Cameron and Cacie Crawford, Alaska, Steffanie and Jozie Rutledge, Kingsport, TN; brothers Carl Angie Crawford, Jr., Maryland and Glen Crawford, Kingsport, TN; sisters-in-law Paula Crawford, Kingsport, TN and Louise Crawford, Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Jesse Crawford officiating.
Interment will take place Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10:00am at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery.
